Leinart’s injury better than expected

Injuries are very determining for the future of any player, when this type of unfortunate events occur, everybody hopes for the best, this is the case of Matt Leinart, the rookie quarterback for Arizona who is currently recovering from a shoulder injury, and hopefully, he will be available for regular season opener on September the 10th.Cardinals coach Dennis Green couldn’t be happier when he received the results of the MRI exam and these were negative, “its good news”, he said. The injury took place when the left handed player was sacked by Patrick Chukwurah in the third quarter of Thursday night's preseason finale against Denver. The Broncos with a 29-23 score won the game.It is discomforting the accumulation of injuries, but after the game, the rookie said that the injury was not a big deal, that his shoulder popped out of its socket, then back in."It was kind of a fluke thing. It just got out of socket a little bit and I was running off and it was kind of hanging there, but I popped it back in and it was fine, I could have gone back in and played if I had to." he said.He missed two weeks of training camp due to a contract holdout and still was impressive in the preseason, completing 29 of 47 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He is slated to back up starter Kurt Warner.Regarding Matt Leinart:He played college football for the University of Southern California Trojans, leading them to a split national championship on 2004, and a consensus title in 2005.
