This one is the third multi-year deal with this brand.The terms of the contract haven’t been disclosed yet but if we refer to their past, this might be a very lucrative agreement for the golfer. His first contract was back in 1996 and it earned him an approximate amount of $40 million over five years. The next one was also for five years starting in 2001 and it was for $100 million.Nike's golf division sells around $500 million in equipment and apparel; this is just a three percent of their overall business. When Nike first signed Tiger Woods, the company was just getting involved with the world of links. But now, ten years later, with Woods being their model, Nike Golf sales have grown 300 percent.Tiger Woods, has won eight tournaments this season, and should be honored with the PGA Tour Player of the Year next Tuesday. He has won 54 PGA Tour titles and earned $97.6 million in the year 2005, $87 million came from his endorsements. In 2004, he earned $6.3 million for swinging the club, and another $83 million for just being Tiger.Tiger Woods also has some other contracts with General Motors, American Express and the Swiss watches corporation: Tag Heuer.It seems like Tiger Woods, who is the number one golfer in the world has his financial future guaranteed.
